Academic Overview
We offer a complete educational program K5-12. We primarily use curricular materials from Abeka and Bob Jones University Press so that students' academic foundation is Bible-based and Christ-centered. High school students complete a traditional college-prep program.
Our elementary program runs K5-5th with each classroom being under the instruction and supervision of a single classroom teacher. Grades 6-12 are styled after a traditional junior/senior high format with multiple teachers based upon subject area. Classes are conducted on a traditional yearlong academic calendar rather than a block schedule.
Our kindergarten classes are academically oriented programs that offer a phonics-based approach to reading. In K4, students will also learn about numbers, penmanship, poetry, and the Bible.
K5 students begin reading around midyear and, in math, learn a variety of concepts including counting (to 100 by 2’s, 5’s and 10’s), addition, and telling time. Other subjects include Bible, poetry, penmanship, and art. Regular chapel programs emphasize God, patriotism, and character development.
The elementary grades continue also use a phonics-based approach to reading. A traditional math program is offered, and students begin learning multiplication in second grade. Our curriculums include textbooks from A Beka Book and Bob Jones University Press and our classes consistently score well on the Stanford Achievement Test. Our elementary classes also have weekly chapel services.
Our high school program seeks to advance students academically, spiritually, and socially. Our goal is to impart life-changing values and wisdom from the Word of God. In addition to college preparatory course offerings, music and interscholastic sports opportunities are also available.
Choir is offered for any 3rd-12th grade students and piano lessons are offered for any student. However, space is limited, so interested parents should contact the school for more information.
Some of the high school grades are required to take our Physical Education class as part of their classes. If you find that this class is required for your child, please click here to order their PE uniform. Thank you!
In addition to learning, the students at our school have many other opportunities throughout the school year. Some of these include activities like:
Our Annual Fall Festival
Fine Arts Competitions (3rd-12th Grade)
Sports (7th-12th Grade)
Trip to Washington DC (9th-10th Grade)
